Great StorageKarenWe needed a spot to put a second monitor on for work at home plus we needed storage for all the small office supplies that end up all over the place. This gets them all into one neat spot.
This is great but design flawAammreenAs I said, it is great for storage however, there is a design floor with the drawers mechanism. They stop coming out properly al the way after a while as they are supposed to.
Perfect for home officeLauraPrinter fits nicely on top, easy to clean underneath because it rolls. Lots of storage and you can see everything at once in shallow drawers.
Wish the six interior screw head locks were metal instead of plastic. Couldn’t get some out to make an adjustment and others wouldn’t stay locked closed. Never had this problem with the metal ones.
Alex drawer unit on castersTeresaThe product is easy to assemble and perfect for my needs as an artist. I highly recommend it.
Very sturdyDeanIt's great for the craft room, just needs a little more lube on the drawer slides. White lithium grease worked for me
AlexKerstinLove the way it looks and fairly easy to put together, the biggest thing is read the manual or better look at the pictures and use the correct parts. Made a mistake the first time and found it easier to assemble the second one.
Cheap construction and low quality controlEmilyOverall very low quality despite being surprisingly heavy. Chipboard is coarse and disintegrates easily during assembly.
One of the drawer sides is completely un-machined and therefore unable to be assembled.
Drawer Bottoms Will SagLucianoNice looking unit with large drawers, but the drawer bottoms are thin and flimsy, and will sag holding anything with weight. I had to buy metal drawer bottom reinforcements from amazon to keep them flat. Some kind of strapping/reinforcement should have been included with these wide drawers.
Great drawer unitAnonymousWas hesitant to buy this drawer unit after reading reviews that highlighted issues with the drawers not pulling out far enough for full access to the drawer back. This hasn't been an issue. Very happy with the small drawer cabinet.
Alex used for jewelry making suppliesKimWonderful unit. Great to display my jewelry findings.
Always loved white Alex, and now trying grey Alex.MarinaYes, Instill love Alex. The Grey Alex is beautiful Also the rollers are excellent...easy to move it around.
Great for organizing!CynthiaI love this unit. I am an artist so I have so much water color paper, sketch pads, acrylic and watercolor paints and all the things that go along with painting and drawing. I really needed a place to keep it all at my finger tips but off my desk and this is perfect for that. I was able to delegate each drawer to a specific thing - like all my paints in one, books and paper in another etc. I'm really glad that there are 3 drawers that a little deeper than the other 3, that worked well for my paint pots so I was able to stand them up in the drawer. I like this unit so much I'm considering getting another one as I still have more art supplies to organize.
PerfectHollyEasy to assemble and looks sharp in my office.
WILL FALL APPARTHanaIt was easy to put together, but the drawers are extremely cheap and poorly made. I’ve only had it for about six months and they’re already falling apart. You’d need to buy extra hardware to drill them in properly to keep them stable. The front panels of the drawers are flimsy, and over time they loosen up to the point where the drawers are basically unusable. Definitely not built to last.
Great Idea, Need improvement VivianI have 4 of these cabinets in total. They would be perfect if you could open them far enough to use the majority of the drawers. You have to modify the drawer slides to do so yourself and add supports to keep drawers from twisting not closing properly and Yes mine were put together properly, I have heard these same complaints from many many people.
We luv, luv, luv itMarshallWe bought Alex for our craft room at home, for storing all of the papers, cutting heads, and other supplies used with our Cricut paper cutting machine. The machine itself stores on top of Alex; when we want to use it, we simply roll Alex up to the desktop computer and connect.
Alex is heavy so you may need help picking it from the shelf and loading it into your vehicle. Assembly was simple but took about an hour to complete.
Alex is solid when assembled, and with its cut-out drawer "handles" that give it a clean modern look, it seems more like a commercial-grade cabinet than an IKEA you-build.
Knitting OrganizerCindyThis works great as an end table to store knitting supplies in right by my chair in the living room.
Somewhat practicalRoIt's very cheaply made and i hate that the drawers only open about 2/3. Which makes it annoying trying to reach the stuff in the back. You,ll have to empty the font everytime.. However you pay for the concept..
Alex wide drawer unit TeresaI love the extra width of the drawers for storing my larger paper craft supplies.
This item showed up on my facebook and it was the ideal item I needed for my sewing areaMarilynThis unit was bought to hold quilting tools and pantographs for long arm quilting machine.

What is particleboard?
Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.
