Alex, Drawer unit file StorageEzraPurchase this Dror unit and I am quite happy with it the size it was perfect for my needs and putting it together was quite straightforward and easy. Seems to be the right item to to its solid construction and dominative size footprint.
Fully functional - straightforward assembly!Melysa LI had only a minor issue with the manufacture of this drawer unit. I recieved one that was made with an error that should not have happened and affects the appearance only slightly so I wasn’t willing to cart it back to the store for maybe some other issue. Have noticed the decrease in quality of items as of late so beware when purchasing.
In terms of this drawer it’s perfect for my needs as storage for school supplies and files. I noticed some negative reviews around the width of the filing drawer and folders not fitting but I definitely was able to get standard hanging file folders in without issue. I do think the plastic holes could be slightly enlarged so I just used my screwdriver to give them a bit more room for easier installation. Would recommend!
Filing drawer is too narrowEuanFirst, build quality in ikea has gone down hill these days. The back of the drawers now just has hammer interference fit pieces..
But most of all, i’m not sure if Sweden has different size file folders or slide systems but this is too narrow for a drop file system. They fit on about a 30 degree angle but now theres much wasted space. Not sure why you can’t attach pictures so customers can see
Terrible construction qualityTomThe quality control on this product is lacking. The wood particles chip so easily, and the drawer slide mechanism was destroyed. Returning this unit for a different model

Poor DesignTracyAs mentioned in other reviews (that we missed prior to purchase), the bottom drawer does NOT fit hanging full folders. The only reason we bought this drawer set. Ikea is an hour drive for us and the desk is completely assembled. Not easy to return. Design team, pull these off the shelves until this error is rectified. Very disappointed.
Fair price. Terrible hanging solution!Anonymous reviewerIf you are looking for a fair priced, simple cabinet to organize your documents and office supplies, this is a great option. But don’t bet be mistaken, the low price comes with terrible design flaws. As the front of the bottom drawer goes all the way to the floor, if you have any thing sticking out of the floor (vent or thick rug), it won’t work perfectly! Not to mention the TERRIBLE system to hang the rods. Why use a cheap flexible plastic and why have the holes so tight?! It doesn’t seem to be something hard to fix, but it really made my “setting up experience” a nightmare!

Hanging file folders dont fitMadisonThe drawers are standard and do the job; however, 8.5in x 11in hanging file folders do not fit in the bottom drawer as intended. I am really disappointed, as this was the exact reason I chose these drawers over others in the collection. IKEA needs to change the way they construct these, as I am not sure what size files these would hold. I think adding the file size the drawers accommodate to the description or instructions would help customers avoid being upset with the outcome. Do not buy these if you want to store files in them.
Good unitAnonymous reviewerMY only complaint I have was when putting it together the metal rods do NOT go in easily, if at all. I had to use a drill and carefully router the hole slightly bigger in order to be able to make the rods fit. Just took more time. Other than that very happy with the unit.
Buyers, Remember this ReviewEric And TarynI like the Alex. I had it in my Wishlist for the longest time and finally bought it. The drawers are a little sticky but maybe they will become easier to draw over time.
Now, the important bit: Hanging Files. Don't be an idiot like me and expect them to hang on the plastic rims of the drawer. That's what the little metal rods are for. The rods, that fit into the plastic rims of the drawer ARE the rails for the hanging files. You're welcome. (Credit to bethanyb00 on Reddit for posting about this 9 years ago!)
Needs feet for carpetAnonymousI added some thick felt stickers to the base, but it's not enough to raise the unit to allow the bottom drawer to slide easily. I have low-pile carpet. I'll need to empty the drawer units and apply something else to the bottom.

Perfect Desk DrawersRitaI bought 2 of these to sit under my desk and I was a little worried that they would not fit well but I enlisted the help of Task Rabbit who assembled them perfectly. Once the assembly was done it looked like the perfect match. Also, the drawers slide so nicely and they give you lots of organizational space to keep all your knick knacks. I also purchased some wooden dividers from the dollar store and voila! Why spend lots of money at other stores when Ikea has this fantastic drawer without breaking the bank.
Serves it’s purposeChristiannaThe drawers are just what we needed and the mechanisms work well, the only thing is that the drawers do not sit flush - they are off by a few millimetres here and there.

Good product. Directions on assembly, not so much.LauraGood product but someone who is a newbie at assembling furniture may have some issues.
The hardware is shown and labeled in the directions but there are no pictures or labeling of three different sizes of boards or proper directions as to which board goes where.
Other than that I'm happy with the product.
