Ratings and reviews

Great desk chairCathyComfortable, easy to clean and sturdy. The chair was easy to assemble.5
Great back supportDelfaI had visited Ikea for a particular work-at-home chair and didn't feel comfortable sitting on it despite the good reviews. I sat on this one to rest and was pleasantly surprised! It's seat is firm yet comfortable and the design somehow cushions your lower back. I don't like armrests yet the ones on these don't bother me. The width of the seat, the positioning of the back rest, the location of the armrests - perfect! To top it off, it's leather, not pleather, has many adjustments (height, tilt) and is one solid chair. I love it!5
Wish it had head restAaron767676Very fancy, great looking with great leather and flexibility. I realize however how important a head rest is since I am in front of my desk all day due to wfm. Wishing they made an optional headrest as an add on. Regretting my purchase.3
Lack of back support / chunky bottomDanis91For the price, I would have expected better back support. The back cushion sits quite low (mid to lower back) so isn't that comfortable for a long sitting. The bottom of the chair also looks chunky and heavy - luckily it's painted off-white. The cushion also feels like it will deteriorate quickly. Doesn't feel like a quality item.2
Great During PandemicsPaulteeI wasn't sure how long I'd need a good office chair for, but it turns out--indefinitely. I'm glad I went with this one. It's build quality is on par with MUCH more expensive options. Adjustability is good, and only the knob at the back gets loose sometimes. It lacks a tilt function, which can be annoying, but overall it's a small loss for a full-featured chair. It's also stylish enough to not make your home feel like an ugly office.5
The best office chair I have sat inchairloverI have endured the discomfort of A LOT of office chairs and this has been the absolute best chair I have ever used. I don't have a great back these days and I have a sit/stand desk to also help with this. I gave this chair a chance for my home office and I am so happy with it. I can sit nearly all day if I need to now. The complaints about the wheels not rolling - this is a known feature of the chair and Ikea advertises this, so I don't think it's fair to poorly rate it based on that. I have also not had any issues with the back rest falling down - I wonder if people are not tightening it property. Relative to the price of office chairs from basically every other store and even the lower end chairs at Ikea, this is not overly expensive and well worth it if you want to be comfortable. You get what you pay for and ergonomics is important if you plan to be sitting on day.5
Perfect Office ChairAudreyCMThis chair is definitely on the expensive side, but I am so happy with my purchase! I had to set up a home office unexpectedly and contemplated replacing my cheap desk chair with this one for so long. My only regret is waiting as long as I did. Unlike another reviewer, I have no issues with the wheels whatsoever. I don’t love that they lock when I stand because I sometimes want to roll my chair out of the way, but it’s a very minor inconvenience. The wheels run smoothly when sitting. This chair is very padded and very comfortable. It’s wider than my previous chair and the arm rests are just right. I was hesitant about the lower back, but was pleasantly surprised with the lumbar support and the height of the back has not been an issue at all. The leather feels very nice. I was concerned about it ripping but it feels nice and thick, and doesn’t stick to me (like car seats tend to). Everything is adjustable and the highest setting is actually higher than my other office chairs so it gives me a nice range of options. I have a more expensive ergo chair in the office, and this chair feels just as good (and looks amazing).5
Gorgeous but i"m unsure it works properly.johnssinaI love this chair, smooth, soft and very pretty to look at. When leaning back, shouldnt it hold its position? Mine springs right back up. Would appreciate if anyone has an answer to this. Otherwise its perfect.3
Good value for the moneyViking AndhyReally happy with this purchase. It's as comfortable as some of the high end chairs.5
Very comfortableTom4alleyHad it for a month. Comfortable and leather soft to touch.5
Stylish and comfortablethe wooBought this for a space I was designing - looks sophisticated and high end5
A Nearly Great ChairSlipping Seat SadnessBought this chair in September having relocated to a new city. Very stylish, matched the decor, and was comfortable to sit in. Most of the chair is well-made and comfortable. Unfortunately, as with another review, I found that the posture adjustments to the chair did not stay adjusted. The seat would regularly spring back to its default position, rather than where it had been set, and the back would slide down - the simple screw/pressure mechanism wasn't enough to hold the heavy back up against gravity, it seemed. Then, about eight months into daily usage, the threading on the screw has stripped (likely from being adjusted three or four times a day because of the slippage) and so the chair back only sits at the lowest possible point. This makes it uncomfortable for me to sit in for more than a few minutes. Very disappointing as, otherwise, this is a great chair but these issues - which seem like simple design problems - make this a very poor value for the price point.2
expected a little bit betterSeatSitterI bought this chair based on the look. It matched my office decor perfectly and can be comfortable to use. What i dont like about the chair is: 1. The back of the chair is adjustable, but doesn't hold its adjustment. I like to have it in the highest position but within the hour it has wiggled its way back down. I find I have to readjust the back 3-4 times a day. 2. The seat is adjustable, but doesn't hold its adjustment. I prefer to have the seat fully extended forward but any time I get up, because it is spring activated, its slides back to the narrowest position. 3. The castors dont like to roll. They are extremely stiff and its almost easier to get up and drag the chair than to force it to roll around. I didn't mind these issues for the first few months of purchasing it however it has now been 8 months and I am sick of a chair that cant hold its shape on wheels that dont roll. If it was a car it would be considered a lemon3
AllanQvery happy on this chair and i like it5
2 months in, no complaintsMichaelstewIt's a very comfortable chair, and the non-scratching wheels are good for a bit of peace-of-mind. It feels pretty solid, and is also a nice, clean looking bit of furniture. It would have been nice to have more colour options than black, beige, brown... But brown's nice.5
