Could Be ImprovedJohnThese contoured strips are not like the doors or panels. They're not painted. They're plastic wrapped. The plastic is quite soft and developed fine scratches, parallel to the cuts, as I moved them on my table saw. (There's nothing wrong with my well-known German brand table saw.) Four naught steel wool and automotive clear coat made them like new. The supplied L-brackets and foam are a joke. I used properly counter sunk wood screws and covered the countersunk heads with white, circular stickies. The strips also not quite wide enough. With a proper reveal beyond the doors, the wood screws are only about an inch in from the edge of the cabinets. My biggest complaint is the cabinets. The sides extend about 1/16 inch below the base. (The thickness of the edge banding.) Without a uniform cabinet bottom, it makes it very, very difficult to get properly aligned, 45 degree joints in the 3 planes. The front deco strips need spacers to sit at the same horizontal plane as the sides.2
Too ShortAnonymous reviewerWe are on our second house and doing a full kitchen reno. The only complaint I have about all IKEA trims is that they are too short by only 3 inches. In both kitchens we put up a bank of 3 x 30 in wide cabinets = 90 inches long, which means I have to have an unnecessary visible seam. (No matter what I try, I can always see the seam) Why on earth they sell all trims at 87 inches is beyond me.3

What is fibreboard?

Fibreboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fibreboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are. This determines if we will use them for bed frames, sofa frames, kitchen fronts, wardrobe doors, or something completely different.
