It’s a shape that’s used throughout the series, from chairs to tables. “The frame gives NÄMMARÖ a uniform and contemporary look. It’s also modular thinking that simplifies the production and lowers the cost. And since NÄMMARÖ doesn’t have any curved shapes, the products are easy to pack in flat packages.” It contributes to a lower price and saves valuable space during transport – all the way from the factory to the customer’s home.

Nice chair - little tricky to foldKathyChair needs assembly and it is relatively easy with picture instructions. My first solo assembly of Ikea furniture. Comfortable and looks nice. Wish they had the stain in stock as it does not appear to be repelling the water as alluded to in the care instructions. The stain may not be available but still comes up in search.

Biggest issue is that after 24 hours on our deck, protected from rain but exposed to humidity, the brown stain turned to yellow for many pieces!

Unpopular opinionKatieI was really excited for these but I kind of hate them. They’re heavy, and when you try to slide them in toward the table, you always end up pulling the arms up, which makes them recline. Also, they don’t slide easily. Just clunky. Maybe not for use not in a dining situation — maybe better for lounging.

You already send folks a metal wrench type tool so you could send them a Robertson screw bit.
This would be better quality and longevity to your products va landfill for soon many Ikea products.
How to fold itDebraThe chair itself seems OK but the folding is not obvious. Advice: pull the arms forward. Then press the seat towards the back while also pushing the rear legs forward. Bracing the rear legs with a foot and pressing back against the foot while you fold works for us. When it folds, it folds easily. This is not about pushing super hard.
