Not my favourite purchase.EmmaI really wanted to love these curtains because I love the linen look, colour, and overall appearance. Unfortunately, one of the panels sits unevenly at the top where the heading tape is, which causes the fabric to bunch and hang unevenly. It’s quite noticeable once the curtains are hung, and it takes away from the beautiful look I was hoping for. I have ironed it and done my best to make the flat but it's like the top and bottom panels are sewn together unevenly.
It’s disappointing because otherwise I really like the curtains and the quality of the fabric. I just expected the panels to be properly finished and hang evenly, especially for the higher price point. Hopefully this was just a defective panel rather than an issue with the product overall.
I called customer service and they just said to return them but I live two hours away, was hoping for a little more service or support.

I skipped washing these first (because some other reviewers complained about pilling and shrinking), but aggressively ironed out the wrinkles and folds. They hang perfectly now, perhaps because they are still a little stiff, and elegantly soften my easterly light. Happy with my investment.

I use them to mask the openings where two doors were, one to pantry, one to coat closet. I removed the doors as the space is so tight, and hung these instead. Dytag Linen DrapesJillGreat value for linen drapes - I bought these drapes for all the rooms in our house
70% light filtering, 90% heat blockingDanielI've had the white Dytag linen curtains for a couple of years, doing light filtering duties over west facing window walls. According to my light meter, these curtains block 70% of the light, but it blocks maybe 90% of the infrared heat from direct sun. That's better than any solar window film or triple pane low-e window, with the benefit of a nice glow in direct sunlight.
In comparison, I tried the Hilja light filtering curtains. They only block 65% of the light, but don't generate the nice diffuse light-panel effect that the Dytag does. Also, the polyester Hilja only blocks less than half of the infrared heat.

I like them and I don'tCathieI am surprised how much fluffy lint comes off them. The dryer vent screen had puffs of lint that looked like cotton balls piled high. Ok if it's only contained to the dryer. After washing and drying, I notice that when opening and closing the curtains I can see many lint fibres floating off the curtain into the air. I hope this settles down, although I somehow don't think it will due to the slightly scratchy/rough nature of the fabric. Not quite sure how I'm going to handle this.
