With the new SYMFONISK picture frame WiFi speaker people can enjoy both, room filling sound as and a beautiful piece of art, and it easily blends into the home. The look can be personalized by changing the front panels.
SYMFONISK products all serve a space-saving, home-improving dual purpose, helping more people enjoy great-sounding streaming music and audio content without stealing valuable space in the home. It’s all about the combination of great sound and great design. Following in the footsteps of the SYMFONSIK table lamp speaker and the versatile bookshelf speaker, Sonos and IKEA introduce a speaker that is also a piece of art. What’s special about the picture frame speaker is that people can personalize it by changing the fronts.
The SYMFONISK picture frame WiFi speaker will be launched in Europe and North America in July 2021. Other markets will follow later this year and in 2022.
You will be able to buy SYMFONISK directly from IKEA stores and online from ikea.com. Please check availability with your local IKEA.
SYMFONISK was designed by IKEA to fit its range of home and home smart products. Whilst Sonos is committed to this partnership and the products work together flawlessly as part of the Sonos system, the Sonos and IKEA ranges are sold independently.
The SYMFONISK Picture Frame Speaker is compatible with the Sonos S2 software.
The look can be personalized by changing the front panels on the picture frame speaker. Front panels SPLASH and VINYL will be available in all the markets selling the SYMFONISK by the end of August. You can also in some of our countries find Print on demands panels that are available, but you have to check with your local IKEA which ones are available there. More designs will be added to the range over time.
No. You can only use the front panels sold at IKEA. There will be a variety of designs to choose from to enable people to personalize their SYMFONISK picture frame speaker.
Yes, it can be mounted on a wall, both horizontally and vertically.
The SYMFONISK picture frame is intended to hang outside on a wall and is not made to be integrated into the wall.

Yes, the SONOS account is needed. The SYMFONISK Picture frame speaker has not 3.5 AUX or Bluetooth connection. SYMFONISK Picture frame is a Wi-Fi speaker but The Ethernet ports let you connect Sonos directly to your Internet router. If your WiFi network isn't reliable or doesn't reach all the areas where you want to use Sonos, connecting a Sonos product to your router with an Ethernet cable automatically creates a dedicated Sonos wireless network.
Compatible but in order to use the stereo pair you need to install two or more SYMFONISK speakers on the same WiFi network. In the Sonos app, go to “Room settings” and select one of your SYMFONISK speakers. Choose “Create Stereo Pair” and then follow the steps. The Stereo pair only works with the same SYMFONISK speaker, for instance, two Picture frame speakers or two Table lamp speakers or two Bookshelf speakers.
