What is included in the IKEA kitchen installation service?
The IKEA kitchen installation service includes full cabinet assembly, worktop fitting, appliance and sink installation, plus lighting and finishing touches for a complete setup.
- Cabinets & structure
- Installation, fitting, and securing of all IKEA cabinets.
- Fitting and securing of all knobs, handles, doors, drawers, rails, filler pieces, cover panels, corner carousel, legs, plinths, deco strips, and cornices.
- Countertops
- Cutting and fitting of IKEA pre-cut laminate countertops (stone, quartz, acrylic, and ceramic worktops are not included in the service, and Glass and custom laminates are installed by a separate partner, which can be coordinated as part of your order).
- Creating cut-outs on pre-cut laminate countertops for cooktops and sinks.
- Appliances, sinks & faucets
- Installation includes positioning IKEA‑supplied appliances—such as built‑in dishwashers, refrigerators, range hoods, and over‑the‑range microwaves—into their designated spaces or within cabinets. (This service does not include electrical (hardwire or plug‑in), gas, plumbing, HVAC, venting, or appliance connections.)
- Non‑IKEA supplied appliances may be positioned (dry‑fit only) for a service charge of $125 per appliance. (Maximum allowable weight: 300 lbs per appliance. This dry‑fit service does not include electrical, plumbing, venting, caulking, or final connections.)
- IKS does not install kitchen sinks or faucets for customers. If an IKEA pre‑cut countertop is purchased, IKS will perform the sink cut‑out during installation. However, all plumbing work, including sink and faucet connections, must be completed by a licensed plumber.
- Lighting & finishing
- Mounting of IKEA cabinet lighting, including cord management (for plug-in models only, no hardwire).
- Sealing of all joints and cut-outs.
- Clean-up
- After installation, the service provider will neatly organize packaging for easy recycling and sweep the job site.
- Instruction manuals and any spare parts will be saved and left with the customer.
- Preparation work:
- Measuring or planning your kitchen (these are separate IKEA services).
- Decorative & custom work
- Dry fitting non-IKEA supplied appliances.
- Any custom modification of IKEA cabinets.
- Service limitations
- The service is not available for installations involving fewer than five (5) cabinets or projects with an installation value below $699.
- The service does not cover the standalone installation of a pre‑cut countertop, sink, or appliance.
