Almost any worktop can work with a black kitchen, but we reccomend either a lighter colour or wood worktop. Lighter stone or laminate worktops are a nice contrast to the dark of the cabinetry. Or add warmth with a butcher block or wood finish laminate for a classic look.

Black or stainless steel appliances work perfectly with a black kitchen. The black will blend in seemlessly, while the stainless steel is practically a staple for any kitchen.

Choosing hardware

Black and warm metals are a match made in heaven. Knobs and handles in shades of gold, bronze and copper all work beautifully against a dark background.
