All our products are tested thoroughly before they are made available to buy. We also handle them carefully to ensure they are in tip-top condition when you come to pick them up in our store or when we pick your order for delivery. And if something does go wrong, we always have the right solution.

How to make a claim at IKEA

We have made our IKEA claims process quick, easy and accessible. We want to hear from you if you experience any quality or other product or service issues.

Whether you bought your IKEA product or service online or in a store, you can always either call us or come to the store to submit a claim. Please have your receipt at hand to make the process smoother. If you are missing something from a delivery you have received, have your order confirmation and/or delivery note at hand. 

Missing product or incomplete order

We always take care when picking an order, but unfortunately we can occasionally overlook an article or part.

Have you opted for home delivery? Some orders are delivered in batches. Still missing some products? They may be delivered in a separate parcel shipment or by separate truck. Like to know when you can expect delivery? You can check the status of your order yourself.

Still missing a product after all deliveries have been made? Contact us or pop into Customer Service at one of our stores.

Delivery not received

We always plan every delivery carefully, but unfortunately delays are not always avoidable. Like to know when you can expect delivery? You can track the status of your order yourself.

Not received the delivery on the expected delivery date? Your order is probably still on its way. We advise you to wait one working day before contacting us. We will then provide an appropriate solution.

Damaged product in the packaging

We do our utmost to ensure your products are delivered in perfect condition. If (any part of) the product is damaged, contact us or pop into Customer Service at one of our stores to make a complaint.

Bring the whole product and your proof of purchase. It’s no problem if you have assembled the product. We understand that some products are too big to bring in. In that case, just bring in the damaged part.

Was your purchase damaged when you were taking it home or assembling it yourself? IKEA Family members can exchange the damaged part within 14 days free of charge through Customer Service at one of our stores, thanks to the IKEA Family Oops warranty

Missing part in the packaging

Are you missing a part or any fittings (such as screws, plugs or hinges)? It’s easy to order small spare parts (such as screws, plugs or hinges) through the digital assistant on our website. If you need large spare parts, contact us or pop into Customer Service at one of our stores.

Product quality issues

All our products are tested thoroughly before they come on the market. If something does go wrong and you notice a quality issue some time after purchase, it’s reassuring to note that some products come with an extended warranty over and above the statutory two-year warranty.

Kitchen appliance quality issues

All our kitchen appliances are tested thoroughly before they are made available to buy. If something does go wrong and you notice a quality issue some time after purchase, read the “resolving issues” chapter in the appliance manual. Carefully follow all the steps. You might be able to resolve the issue yourself.

Is your appliance still not working as it should? One of our partners will quickly fix it for you.

SOLSTRÅLE solar energy

Our partner Svea Solar provides a free long-term warranty on all SOLSTRÅLE installations. That gives you peace of mind so you can fully enjoy all the advantages the sun has to offer. If something does go wrong and you notice a quality issue some time after installation, our partner Svea Solar will respond quickly to fix it.
