Celebrate your birthday with your friends at IKEA! Design your own pukka party by adding a scrummy yummy to the basic package. Play and craft activities in Småland are always included! Like to add a workshop? You can take what you make home with you. Or get your face painted! You decide. It’s your birthday!

If you’d like a workshop, someone from IKEA will be in touch to discuss the options.

Our birthday party is for children aged 5 to 8 years old.

Every tenth party, we organise the eleventh party free of charge, for a child from a vulnerable single-parent family. We do this in collaboration with the CAW group and the AMA.

Frequently asked questions

At the agreed time you will be welcomed by one of our co-workers at the store entrance (opposite our Småland play area). We’ll take all the kids to a separate, specially decorated table in the restaurant. We’ll spend one and a half hours there, eating and doing craft activities (or taking part in a workshop, depending on your choice). Any presents can be opened here too. You’ll then go to Småland for an hour’s play. After 2.5 hours we look forward to seeing the responsible adult back in Småland to pick up all the kids. Every child will leave with a small gift.

Note: playing in Småland is included in every option, so all participants must be between 95cm and 140cm high, as stated in the height rules for our Småland play area. Unfortunately, we cannot make any exceptions, even for brothers and sisters.

A few stores offer a ‘DIY’ birthday party package!

For just 50 euros you and up to 10 of your friends get:

A party lasting up to 2.5 hours at a separate, specially decorated table in the restaurant.
Two parents or other adults need to supervise the party themselves.
A party box containing:
- 13 vouchers for fruit water
- 13 vouchers for cake, pancake or ice cream
- Biscuits and sweets
- Craft materials and a guide
- A few games, which should be returned at the end
- A small gift for every child
One hour playing in Småland is an option if requested in advance.
