Do I have to clear out my space to use IKEA Kreativ?

There is no need to move anything around ! With IKEA Kreativ you can magically erase your stuff without any hassle.

There are now two ways to remove items depending on the type of scan you are using: Photographic Wide-Angle Scan or Full Room Scan.

Photographic Wide-Angle Scan

When using the Photographic Wide-Angle Scan, you can easily erase items in your room with the Eraser Tool.
Steps for accessing and using the Eraser Tool differ by device:

Web Browser:

  • Use the top toggle to switch to “Erase Items.”
  • Click on any item outlined in yellow to remove it.
  • To remove all items at once, click “Hide All.”
  • To undo, click “Show All” to bring the items back.

Mobile App:

  • Tap “Erase” in the right-hand sidebar.
  • You can choose from the following options:
    • Hide All – removes all items
    • Show All – restores all items
    • Select individual items by tapping the yellow outline to erase them
  • Once your changes are complete, tap the check mark to confirm.

Full Room Scan

With a Full Room Scan, your room starts empty regardless of any existing items. This gives you a clean slate to design your room entirely from scratch.
