How do I get my VAT refund as a skipper?

Are you a skipper and do you buy goods from IKEA in Belgium? Then you can reclaim the VAT paid by applying to the customer service in the store.

When can you reclaim VAT?

You are eligible for a VAT refund if:
  • You are a skipper and ca npresent a valid skipper's booklet
  • You buy goods from IKEA in Belgium

What do you do after your purchase?

1. You pay at the cash register

  • You choose your products and paid at the cash register, VAT included.
  • You keep your kassaticket and any Delivery note.
 

2. You go to Customer Service

After your payment, go to the Customer service from your IKEA store.
There:
  • ask for the document "Application for VAT refund for boatmasters"
  • fill in the form completely and correctly in
  • you show your skipper's booklet
Customer service:
  • makes a copy of your skipper's booklet
  • Combines it with:
    • it originele till ticket or delivery note
    • Is Application
Everything is forwarded to the administration of the IKEA store.

What happens next?

The administration:
  • checks your file
  • makes a VAT-free invoice based on your receipt or delivery note
  • ensures that the VAT will be refunded to your account
Please note: Keep in mind that this may take some processing time.
