Learning from First Nations voices

Reconciliation starts with listening and learning. Through initiatives such as National Reconciliation Week, co-worker learning opportunities and conversations with First Nations leaders, we are building greater understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and experiences.

Meaningful change happens when we work together. We partner with First Nations organisations and communities to support projects that create connection, empower young people and celebrate culture. Through these partnerships, we're learning how our business can contribute in practical and respectful ways.

Partner spotlight: ID. Know Yourself

ID. Know Yourself Aboriginal Corporation (IDKY) is an Aboriginal-led organisation that supports Aboriginal children and young people in out-of-home care through culturally focused mentoring, advocacy and connection to culture, helping young people build a strong sense of identity, belonging and opportunity.

In partnership with IKEA Tempe, IDKY has created welcoming spaces within its community centre where young people can connect, reflect and feel at home.

Together, we also supported the creation of a Bush Food Garden at IKEA Tempe, helping bring young people's ideas to life while strengthening connections to culture, Country and community.
