Where should I place my air purifier in my bedroom?
With a small air purifier for bedroom use, it can be helpful to place the purifier closest to the potential allergen source. For example, if you’re most concerned about pollen or pollution from traffic creeping inside but want to leave your window open a bit, position the air purifier near the window so it can filter the air more readily. Just be mindful it isn’t placed anywhere it could potentially get wet if it begins to rain.
Also consider your sleep sound preferences. Do you need things as quiet as possible when sleeping, or are soothing sounds a welcome addition to your bedtime routine that helps lull you to sleep? If you lean toward calming sounds for sleep, consider placing your bedroom air purifier on your nightstand or other location near your bed. While all of our air purifiers for bedroom are quiet during operation, you may enjoy the gentle sound that is reminiscent of a fan.
How long to run an air purifier in your bedroom is entirely up to you. If you are very sensitive to air pollutants, you may choose to run it continuously so it doesn’t have to play ‘catch up’ at bedtime. If you prefer to conserve energy and only run it while you sleep, read the product details to determine how much time is needed for it to purify your size bedroom. You can then make it part of your bedtime routine to switch it on while winding down so the air is fully refreshed by the time you’re ready to close your eyes.
