Mold!ReneAs soon as I opened the plastic packaging there was a strong moldy smell, I unrolled it and there was mold all over it. I do like the look the the rug though but unfortunately can not use it1
Nice neutral rug, perfectly sized for an entrywaySueThis is a nice neutral rug that's the perfect size for the entryway to my home, where the more common rug sizes are either much too small or just a bit too big. I really like the use of natural fibres, and the flat weave means there are no issues with the front door being able to swing open over it. The rug had a faint odour when I first took it out of the packaging, but after a couple of days airing it's much reduced and I expect that in a few weeks it will be completely gone. Overall I'm very pleased with this rug.4

Went for one rug and saw this one so brought home 2 rugs. Looks great in the office! Comfortable to stand on all day. Actually more comfortable to stand on versus a little pile rug. And it comes with a rubberized non-slide back to it.

Material

What is sisal?

The sisal fibre is extracted from the long, sword-shaped leaves of the sisal and has traditionally been used in ropes and strings. The fibre is durable, stain resistant and sound insulating – so it’s excellent to weave rugs with. But it’s not just the fibre that is useful, the sisal has an extensive root system that can help limit soil erosion, and what’s left of the leaves can be used for bioenergy, fertilisers and animal feed.
