This Pie dish is a MUST haveAndrewAs a Chef it is always difficult to find the correct/best equipment. One can go to expensive shops YET still can't find a pie dish like this. Its stainless steel which is excellent (No sticking, no rust). The quality of this IKEA product surprises me, for example, I can pull a big, heavy piping hot pie out of the oven and the pie dish can easily handle the weight with no flexing. That makes me feel safe.5
Looks like foil but it's strongJuliaThin and light but strong. I made a quiche and a pumpkin pin in it and they turned out great. It replaced a ceramic one I had. It browns the pastry better on the bottom than ceramic or glass and sticks less as well. It's nice to have stainless steel options. I put it in the dishwasher and it's still shiny.5
