This inexpensive little sensor box goes from green-yellow-red well before the smoke alarm sounds. Gas cooking puts particles into the air that you don't want to breath too often.
So it's well aware of air particles.
It has a near silent little fan inside to move air thru.
No it doesn't come with a USB charger/cable but Ikea sell these.
Anyway, I have lots of old chargers, and a cheap spare USB-C cable, so no drama there.
It's a steal at $19. Cheap and useful present for the in-laws, teenagers messy bedroom - lol5

You can tell at a glance by the "traffic light" colours how good/bad the air is in the room. Will change to yellow and sometimes red after I have fried something. Contains a small fan, which can be noticeable if you keep it very close or in a very quiet room like a bedroom. No more annoying than a hard disk spinning in a computer nearby, you get used to it and tune it out.4
