    Not made for purposeTomPretty underwhelming experience overall. This product is sold for kitchen and utility use, but in a normal laundry setting - nothing unusual, just everyday humidity with decent ventilation - it developed internal mould within about two years. That’s the core issue: it feels like it’s not built for the environment it’s being recommended for. You’d expect a door designed for these spaces to handle moisture as part of its basic job, not fail like this over time. On top of that, Ikea didn’t honour any form of warranty when the issue was raised, which made the whole situation even more frustrating. Overall, it looks good initially, but the long-term performance just isn’t there.1

This is marketed as suitable for kitchens and utility spaces, yet in a normal laundry setup - nothing extreme, properly ventilated, regularly cleaned - the door developed internal mould in around two years. That’s the issue here… it’s not just wear and tear, it’s a mismatch between what’s promised and how it actually performs. A product designed for these environments should be able to handle everyday moisture without breaking down like this. What really let it down though was the follow-up. Ikea didn’t honour any form of warranty, which is pretty frustrating given the circumstances.1
    No Quality, went internally mouldyTomeally disappointed with the quality. This product is sold as suitable for kitchens and utility areas, but it doesn’t perform in normal conditions. After around two years in a standard laundry - with proper ventilation and regular cleaning - the door developed mould, which shouldn’t be happening. It’s not an extreme environment, so durability shouldn’t be an issue. The bigger concern is that it’s simply not fit for the purpose it’s marketed for. If the material can’t handle typical moisture levels, it shouldn’t be recommended for that setting. To make matters worse, Ikea did not honour any form of warranty on this issue. For the price, I expected something far more durable. As it stands, the product and its intended use don’t align. I wouldn’t recommend it for any area with even moderate humidity.1
