You can move the shelves in 3 different positions, which makes it possible to place the shelf unit against a wall or between two desks without it taking up extra space.
The shelf unit is easy to fix in place or remove as needed since it has screw mounts.
The screw mounts have a soft surface that protects the top of the table from scratches and pressure marks.

Sturdy!EmmaFor this price this is a great addition to your desk and handy way to store those little extra bits and pieces.
It is also incredibly sturdy, my 5kg cat sits on the top shelf while I’m working, there isn’t even a hint of wobble or instability.
Nice and tidy way to organise your deskInayahI love this thing! Very glad I bought it. My home office and desk is so much tidier. Was it a bit challenging to assemble? Yes. Would it have been easier with two people? Sure. But I was able to do it while sitting on the couch watching TV and I managed just fine. Don't give up! Be patient and treat it as a mindfulness exercise :)

Perfect on my desk LilyBought this a few years ago, super sturdy. Love the way it attaches to my desk. I don’t have to drill or damage anything to have nice shelves. Would 100% recommend.
Nifty and versatileKateI bought this to see if I could hang my computer under my desk and it seems to be working pretty well. The fasteners for the clamp parts are a bit fidgety, but I worked out a neat trick to make it easier. Fold up a bit of paper and wedge it between the L shaped piece and the opening of the square tube. That will give you the correct spacing to line up the holes and make it easier to keep the L piece in place. Much easier than growing a third hand.
Fiddly to constructAnonymousPutting three parts together for the legs was very time-consuming. Perhaps the shorter piece could already be glued in place? I figured out that if I put the lower screw through two of the pieces then screw the long part into the top screw hole, swivel it around and take out the lower screw and put it through the three pieces. Fiddly :-(
Once all together it is perfect and I love it :-)

Bit of a pain to assemble, but works great and exceptional build quality for priceTyrenTrying to screw the shelves onto the legs is not a fun job. You can't lie the thing down whilst putting the shelves on, and the screw holes are really small, and to top it off, the screws aren't magnetic either, so you'll have to hold the screws initially, whilst also holding the leg in place, and then figure out how to grow a third arm so that you can hold the shelf in place too.
Once it's together though, it's super stable, and built of metal the whole way through, so it feels super durable.
Nightmare to AssembleSageI’ve been buying and assembling IKEA products for years and generally find it a relaxing and satisfying process. For the size of this item, the difficulty with assembly is ridiculous. You have to perfectly position three pieces together and then somehow grow another hand to screw it in. One of my pieces had a screw hole that was slightly too small, so I ended up having to screw in the screw with a power drill before it would work at all. Because of the shape of the pieces, you can’t just line them up and lie it on a flat surface either. For a tiny shelf, there’s absolutely no reason why this should have been genuinely the most difficult to assemble IKEA product I have ever encountered.
