Built-in extractor hood, 80 cmErikI build my own kitchen, and I and I brought this Build-in extractor hood 80 cm from IKEA with the cabinet, it looks very nice, and it works very well, the extractor hood is bit loud, but it does the job very well. yes, I recommend this product. thanks IKEA5
Welcome changePaulineExtractor hood that actually works. Our electrician said it was one of the best he had ever installed 5
Quiet & super easy to installAnonymous reviewerLove this extractor fan, fits like a glove in the overhead cabinet & is super easy to install. Extracts quickly & is relatively quiet (quieter than the previous fan for sure).5
Second time lucky!TillainathanThe first unit made a popping sound on the third speed setting and stopped working. IKEA replaced it promptly with another unit and it is working well now. 4
Range hood Anonymous reviewerWorks well . Could be quieter 5
Best product Anonymous reviewer1 of the best range hood in the market 5
It's ok, but I expected it to be better for the priceKiraleeThe light is nice. The rangehood is noisy, and it doesn't suck up the smoke to the degree I thought it would. For example, if I sear red meat, I still need to open the windows and doors to clear the smoke away.3
Rangehood is good, the cabinet is notAnonymous reviewerWe got the cabinet with the in built rangehood to have a nice finish of the kitchen. However the cabinet is VERY flimsey, not strong enough to sit inline. Once the rangehood was in the cabinet it gave it a bit of stability. However, the doorhad to be re adjusted a few times as they were sent out of alignment. Perhaps a more strong cabinet material for the solid rangehood would be good.3
Love it! The look, easyAnonymous reviewerLove it! The look, easy to use and very effective5

Function solution

Sound levels

Sound levels for appliances are measured in decibels (dBs). Our extractor hoods have been tested in speed 3 to determine the dB level. The sound level of your extractor hood is affected by: • Type of installation. Exhaust-mode or recirculation-mode. • Length and diameter of the exhaust pipe between extractor and exhaust vent. The longer it is and the smaller the diameter, the louder it gets. • 90° bends. The more bends you have in the exhaust pipe, the greater the sound.

Quality

Sensitive to noise or have an open-plan home?

For extractor hoods, a noise level below 60 dB is considered low – roughly equivalent to a normal conversation between two people. We measure the noise level of our hoods at max speed, making it easier to compare different models. Note that sound levels decrease at lower speeds, and recirculating hoods are typically louder than those vented outdoors. Noise may also increase if the ducting is long or has several bends, as the air has to work harder to pass through the system.
