Product details

By having a bunk bed instead of two single beds, you free up some much-needed square metres on the floor for playing and other activities.

Easier to make the beds and give your children a good-night hug since the bed is lower than other bunk beds.

A good solution where space is limited.

It’s easier to get in and out of the bed with a centered ladder.

The children can put their own stamp on their little nook of space by choosing bedding that they like.

Product is good, but assembly is hardMichaelThe bed itself is good and sturdy once assembled. But the assembly part is a bit hard, even after carefully going through the instructions. Case of practicality sacrificed for design. There are better ways to do certain things. We used to have a much bigger bunk bed from a different supplier and that was much easier to assemble and disassemble. If you have patience and time, then this is a good option.3
Modern bunkbed JosephinePlease read instructions properly and don't fall into negative comments, because my partner did the same mistake without reading comments, when I did it myself with the guidance of instructions,it was easier, and it needs two people to do it, it's a modern sturdy bunkbed.5
Great HonestlyHannahBrought 2 of these bunks put it together by myself took me about 2 and a half hours each, really surprised with the sturdiness of them especially with 11, 9, 6 and 3 year olds using them and for the price you can't go wrong. Plus the height is great im only 5ft 2 and I can make there beds so easily 5
OkAtlantaBudget wise it’s good. Does the job. Isn’t too high, good for what it’s worth. However, the top handles are loose and move quite often. They aren’t stable. Was very hard to put together and you’ll definitely need some strength as there are areas that require it when piecing it together. Took us forever to finish it and there could have been better/easier alternatives as to how this was made. If you’re wanting to move it out of a room you’ll need to take the bed frame apart which I am dreading doing. However overall, it does the job. 3
Assemble MagdaAssemble very hard can't put together and the instructions not clear enough.2
Bed is good value, but is not easy to assembleChristopherI think the best frame is good value for the price. The assembly was not straight forward. However I would recommend it4
Good PonnambilyGood3
Overall not hard I did it myself in 3 hrsJessicaAmazingly easy I put it together myself in 3hrs u do need a decent amount of space when putting it together but easy when u know how to interpret the directions and actually follow them they aren't wrong like some reviews state. I suggest reading the instructions in full before starting5
BunksKarenThe netting is to small, we had to cut it to fit. We asked a friend who bought the same bunks and they had to do the same. Not happy with the bunk netting.3
Horror to put togetherAhmedThis was such a pain to assemble. It's an amazing product but I can't describe to you how many times we almost gave up and were just going to throw it away.... we ended up getting professional help to assemble it... it's absolute torture assembling it.1
Solid but a pain to put together. MelissaOnce together the bed is very good, but the assembly is shocking. I have put together many ikea products in my life but this was by far the worst one to assemble. 3
Love it but awful to put togetherSarahPerfect height for small kids but it was a nightmare to put together- worst ikea assembly ever. Once it’s done, it’s great but I wouldn’t buy again. Maybe if they come out with a non fabric version?3
Great bedAmandaI wasn't sure what to expect but the end result was great. Wasn't super hard to put together but your need strength or two people. We put it together without any issues. Love that it's not super high or on the ground. Very sturdy. 4 stars as there was a slight rip in the mesh.4
Good products, reasonable price.AnwarBetter than average.3
Great bed for young kidsJessicaWould give 5 stars if it wasn't such a pain to put together, but it is sturdy and I love the lower height for my younger children.4
Great bunkTaraGreat bunk, works well for the kids. Perfect height as it's not to high for ceiling fans. Only downside is the instructions aren't 100% easy to understand.5
Not happy with mesh fabric quality and designDanielPurchased on Jan 2023. Pros : Sturdy Cons : 1. Mesh fabric is so tight and no slack. I need to push very hard and cut a bit to allow the mesh fabric to get into all metal slot. 2. Mesh Design : here the messy one. If you need to knock down this bed frame (my case, I need to clear the room for re-flooring), you'll need to dismantle all parts because of mesh fabric tied all bed side frames altogether. Why can't it be redesigned for each side and tied it with zipping method rather than having 1x mesh span entire side of the frame. 3. Color : most likely this bunk bed is for kid. Why can't it be painted with nice color than boring dark grey. Thing was, half way of assembly process, with heavy box, I just didn't want to return back to IKEA for return/exchange because of this mesh fabric issue.1
Assembled bunks are great butMarieAssembled bunks are great but so difficult to put together4
Sleepovers!!MaryThis is a sturdy bunk be, frame is all metal, so you won't get any sagging of mattresses, Love it!!4
The place where the mattressIrynaThe place where the mattress lies is not very reliable, and I think it would be uncomfortable for children to sleep. So we chose another bed where the bars under the mattress are wider and there are more of them.3

Accessories for TUFFING

TUFFING Bunk bed frame, dark grey, Single

A bed for new perspectives

Life is pretty good here at the top of the bed. Teasing younger siblings can be kept at a distance, and when mum or dad says good night, the height is just perfect for a hug. Both bunk beds and loft beds are good choices when you want to create more space in a smaller area. With TUFFING, we also managed to make more bed from less material.

We made TUFFING bunk bed and loft bed of stable steel and mesh fabric, and somewhat lower than other bunk beds. It means less use of material and that each bed weighs less to transport.

Kids don’t think about safety, so we do

By centering the ladder, the loft bed became more stable. The ladder also serves as a guard rail for the bunk bed – because children’s beds should be safe places, no matter if you are in the middle of play or deep in the world of dreams. That is why our children’s beds undergo rigorous furniture tests. The industry’s safety standards are very strict, but we take it further. When working with TUFFING, we focused especially on avoiding gaps and openings where small hands and feet can easily get stuck. When we had a model of the bed, it underwent two weeks of intense fatigue tests where the bed frame was continuously exposed to strong forces.

A place for kids to recharge

Throughout the design process we took part in research results from Dr Barbie Clarke, a child psychologist with many years of experience in research about children and their development. She explains the role of the bed: “When we do global research, the children we interview often say that their bed is their favourite part of the home. It is something they can call their own; ‘This is mine, my space’. Even if they share a lot of other things, the bed is often a private area that helps them work out who they are, rest and recharge.”

Material

What is steel?

Steel has unique characteristics when it is stretched and shaped since it remains strong. It provides strength to everything from skyscrapers and cars to bed frames and outdoor furniture. The steel industry is moving in the direction of more energy-efficient production and stronger steel qualities. It doesn’t lose any of its properties when recycled and today steel is one of the most recycled materials in the world.

Lowest price

Don’t let the price fool you

TUFFING bunk bed has passed the same strict safety tests as all our other bunk beds. We just used other materials, made it lower and replaced the guard rail with the ladder. All to make it exactly as safe to sleep in – just a little cheaper.
