Wall mounting width needs to be updatedAnthony DGood concept - perfect depth for the wall behind my door. However, as it stands, I need to refill the drilled holes in my masonry with patching concrete and apply touch up paint to areas where it scratched as I struggled to get it on.
The instructions state drilling the holes 395mm apart which mine were exactly. However, I struggled to mount it; when it did mount, it was pretty loose and I ended up wearing out the plastic mounting hooks in my several attempts to rectify this. I tried both 8g and 10g screws to no avail (i.e maybe the keyhole needed a thicker screw). I then measured the narrow part of the mounting keyholes (i.e where it should "clip in") from centre to centre: 390mm.
Incredibly frustrated that I busted up my masonry and blemished my new paint job. I might give them another go in the future with holes drilled 5mm closer together.
