65mm openingKatieThis is a cute lamp but beware the glass top only has a 65mm opening! The ikea website recommended a 95mm decorative bulb which cannot be used with this product.
Bulb recommended on the product page doesn't fit in the lampChrisOrdered 2 of these lamps for our bedside tables. Also added to cart the Molnart E27 bulbs that we're recommended on the product page as 'complete with', and the bulb is too wide to fit into the glass top of the lamp. Absolutely outrageous to recommended a bulb that is completely incompatible with the lamp itself. Not sure what IKEAs ecomm & marketing teams are doing here, but if they need some help sorting things out give me a call. Awful customer experience, over 60min wait for live chat, over 45min wait for a phone call to try and sort replacement bulbs. Really really poor experience.

Such a simple looking lampClareSuch a simple looking lamp turns into a bright little gem when switched on. The look of it is quite Art Deco. It states that the maximum wattage is 13w but even with a 11w light globe it packs a punch. The cord is nice and long. I'm thinking of buying a couple more as bed side lamps.

What is glass?
Glass is mainly made of sand, soda and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
