Product details

SÖDERHAMN seating series allows you to sit deeply, low and softly with the loose back cushions for extra support.

Light, airy design with high legs and slim lines, yet still a great comfort thanks to the elastic weave in the bottom and high resilience foam in the seat cushions.

The sofa's sections can be used freestanding or combined in different ways to get a size and shape that suits you and your home.

If you need a larger sofa, you can add a section or two to your existing combination.

You can create your own perfect combination with the planning tool. Assemble, take apart and put together again until it’s just right.

The removable back cushions give your body support where needed. For example, place several behind your back for a more upright position or use them to make it comfortable when lying down and reading.

The depth of the sofa makes it perfect for relaxing or even taking a nice nap.

You can choose to use the sofa with or without armrests, depending on the expression you want to create.

The high legs make it easy to clean the floor under the sofa.

This cover is made of Gransel, a fabric with elements of linen and viscose that add a slight lustre and the threads in different sizes create a natural, vibrant expression.

A loose fit and a long valance sheet down to the floor give your SÖDERHAMN a relaxed and inviting look.

The cover is easy to keep clean since it can be machine washed and is easy to take off and put on again.

Love it!ColletteI already had my mind set on this couch for when I needed one. I had already tried my friends out, they had purchased to then be able to extend later on which is a brilliant idea. I moved to my parents to save for a house and converted to the Stora loft bed to optimise space. I was worried if this would fit and thankfully the width is the same length of the bed so the fit is perfect. It is like I have a single bed below, and I have slept on there a few times. Don’t buy this if you are expecting a couch to sink in or want something plush, but I do like the feel and I have added European pillows and a bunch of cushions. Note to IKEA: additions that would be worthwhile to customers are; - additional and replacement cushion inserts, I think you can buy them in Europe but not here - slip covers and cushion covers, the replacements are great but a washable slip and cushion covers would be better to keep it clean regulary - replacement leg options, the offering on the website is limited5

Looks good but not comfortable TinaI recently bought the 3 seater to begin with - I was undecided about chaise or corner section so decided to wait. (just moved house) I am quite disappointed. The sofa looks great but is uncomfortable. The cushions are quite thin, feels like I’m sitting on the base. I need to add another section to accommodate for more people; unhappy about spending more money on an uncomfortable piece of furniture. Usually, I love IKEA products. I’m still impressed with their customer service. 2

Stylish, Comfortable and NeatSamanthaI love my Soderhamn sofa. I have a small place and it fits perfectly. I have the orange cover and the happy colour always makes me smile - sad Ikea discontinued it? I wish there were more cover options to choose from rather than the current boring ones. A shearling fabric would be lovely, as would a nice mustard yellow or a linen cover. Ikea could sell so much more if they offered more choices in covers.5

The sofa is nice, a bit too low but I switched out the legs for taller ones and is much better. I liked the simplicity, not bulky for my small space but big enough to be comfortable and can sit up to 3 people depending on their size.
