A huge upgrade from cheap LED tapersJoramI bought LED taper candles from Amazon at the same time as my candlestick holders and honestly regretted the candles almost straight away. They were cheap, but the light was so dim they looked obviously fake. The flame looked plastic, the glow was weak, and they didn’t feel candle-like at all. I ended up throwing them out, which then left me with a bunch of empty candlestick holders that I didn’t want to throw away as well. Finding these IKEA LED taper candles was such a relief. They’re noticeably brighter than the Amazon ones without being over the top, and they feel much more candle-like. The light is warm and cozy, the flicker is subtle, and the flame actually looks convincing. The built-in timer is amazing. I genuinely wish all battery-operated lights did this. They fit perfectly into my existing holders, which meant I didn’t waste more money. Huge upgrade from cheap alternatives. Please never stop selling these.5

The SMÅLOM series has various-sized LED candles that you can even use in lanterns in protected spaces outdoors, as well as a set of 2 LED taper candles for indoor use. All are battery-operated and have a flickering glow just like a real flame. A built-in timer automatically turns it on and off. The taper candles illuminate for approx. 130 hours and the pillar candles for approx. 140 hours. Great to mix to create a warm, inviting vibe in a home – even in bookcases and windows.
