Sturdy but Terrible SmellTinaWrote a review previously that might've been abit scathing so did not get published but just an update, its been over a week and the frame still has that manure smell - apparently it's 'off-gassing' but never had this issue before since I don't usually buy their 'fabric' type furniture. This one is no different to the other Slattum frame for $169, it just includes an extra headboard cover, which I'm glad I got since it blocks the smell from the headboard at least.3
👍 Nice sturdy 👎strange smellTinaBed frame is solid so no issues there. Nice and simple/compact. Didn’t realise this was the exact same as the $169 one (double) and thought it was a ‘newer/upgraded’ version but this one just includes an extra headboard cover. Took around 1.5hrs to put together by myself. I’m finding the IKEA instructions are getting worse (I’ve bought a ton of furniture lately), they’re not descriptive enough, quite lazy and difficult to understand so I watched a vid on how to put it together. I recommend you do that. Today is the second day I’ve had it and there’s this awful smell coming from the fabric panels. I don’t know how to describe it - glue, fabric, tinge of manure/soil - wet animal smell? - I hope it disappears soon! 3
