The worktop is made in bamboo which is an easy-care and hard-wearing natural material.

Bamboo is a durable and stable hardwood with a uniform texture. It is moisture and scratch-resistant. The natural color of bamboo is similar to that of beech wood.

Gives you extra storage, utility and work space.

You can switch the places of the various shelves to suit your storage needs.

The hooks on the side of the workbench are perfect for hanging for example kitchen utensils or tea towels.

Adjustable feet make it possible to compensate any irregularities in the floor.

Great Work Bench!JudyI bought this for my craft studio as I stand to craft and it prevents back pain by being the correct height to work at. It has Lots of space, great depth and fab drawers for tools. I use the shelves to hold boxes of dies etc. It took my husband a few hours to put together, but it is very sturdy. Would recommend for any work bench requirement. Would be even better if it wasn’t so expensive!5

It's a great piece that fits perfectly into a dead zone in our kitchen. The only issue I have is with the drawers, which have some flexibility to adjust but are much harder to keep perfectly aligned than you would imagine.

Material

What is bamboo?

Strong, flexible and one of the world's fastest growing plants – bamboo has many uses that make it an excellent renewable material. It’s a type of grass and usually grows without the need for fertilizers or irrigation. After being harvested, it grows new shoots that are ready for harvesting after 4-6 years. At IKEA we use bamboo for items like furniture, bathroom decor, baskets and lamps – and we are constantly exploring more areas of use for this versatile material.
