Japanese designer Noboru Nakamura is the man behind the successful POÄNG armchair, launched in 1977. For the Nytillverkad collection, he removed the headrest, but the comfy rocking feature is still there.

POEM armchair, later renamed POÄNG, was shown for the first time on the cover of our 1977 catalogue. Then with a headrest.

For the Nytillverkad collection, Noboru Nakamura removed the headrest. The look became new, compact and modern, yet the rocking feature and comfort of the layer-glued, bent wooden frame remained the same.

I got this for next to our fireplace k felt the taller option wouldn’t look right and got this, it is good as you can pick frame colour and seat pad combination. I got the darker frame and really like it. It’s super comfy and a great buy
