I love the look of this lampshadeAnthonyI have this lampshade in my office, with a warm white visible LED filament bulb. I love how the light bounces around on the inner brass coloured lining, and the patterns it casts on the ceiling. It's a fun, warm addition to mood lighting in a room. Be aware, however, that it uses a wider that usual opening where you would screw it onto a bulb socket, so pay attention to the diameter of opening vs. the light fixture you want to attach it to... particularly if you're going to hang it from ceiling light socket, take some measurements before buying matching fitting if you're not purchasing from IKEA or it's an existing fitting.5

What is polyester?

Polyester is a durable, quick-drying and insulating material that is optimal to use for textiles and as filling in pillows, quilts and furniture. The material is made from crude oil – a limited resource. Since IKEA doesn’t want to contribute to more virgin oil being used, we are now gradually switching to recycled and traceable polyester from sources like PET bottles. What’s nice is that polyester can be recycled over and over, without changing or losing its great qualities.
