Need some adjustment for this good design.Anonymous reviewerThe following is the quality, assembly and design issues I have found during the assembly.
*Quality* - The pine wood frame is 25mm thick , a firmed bunk bed than all other ikea bunk beds. There is a thin layer white matte paint, the wood pattern can be seen.
*Assembly* - It's a 3-4 hours of work for a single person to install + a little help from another to hold parts. You need to decide where to keep the ladder before start.
*Design issue* - we need hole covers, QC the production line and think about a quiet installation parts. There are 16 holes remain and not covered after the bed finished, and 2 of the bed legs did not leave a hole for the leg protector (1028545). The bed base assemble is noise, over 65 DB (hammer+wood to push the plastic screw 110719 into a 6mm hole and the wood is easy to break), beware if you are install in an apartment during the evening (IKEA, make it LURÖY Slatted bed base, or pack 110519 from Mandal to push in easily and secured).

Decent bunk but has flaws. Slats fastening system makes no senseAnonymous reviewerThe finishing on some pieces are flawed with some splinters come off and painted over them. The slats are fixed with 60 plastic anchors which had to be hammered in and near impossible to remove.

Double Deck BedAnonymous reviewerInstallation took about 1 day, easy to install. Sturdy and able to handle weight of adult. All is good except bottom bed does not come with extra wood panels as guard rails for child to sleep. Top bed has enough guard rails.
