It’s okPreetiIt’s a good sized pan for pancakes etc, but doesn’t last very long. I have bought multiples but I feel the quality deteriorated with use. It starts looking crusty and an oily coating gets created around the edges which I found almost impossible to get off. I have had the same experience with all of ikea’s non stick pans I have bought recently. I feel they have changed in quality. Because a lot of my earlier purchases lasted me years. 3

Everything sticks.PranavThe pan worked well for the first few uses, but now everything sticks—pancakes, eggs, even with a bit of oil. I've only ever handwashed it with warm soapy water using a soft sponge, and there are no scratches on the coating, yet everything still sticks. The nonstick coating is not as good as other pans I have used before. 1

What is sol-gel ceramic non-stick coating?

Sol-gel non-stick is often called ceramic coating and is an increasingly common replacement for other non-stick coatings in frying pans. It comprises mostly of silica and is created by applying a gel-like solution to the product and drying it in an oven. The result is a hard, glossy surface with non-stick properties. Sol-gel can be produced in different colours, it withstands high heat, is easy to use and clean – and allows cooking with little or no fat.
