Worst oven everYvonneThe controls are incomprehensible. Too many buttons and functions. After one year the child lock engaged and I have to use a knife to get into the oven. I’m going to change the thing as soon as possible.
Edit to my previous review ITS NOT GOODMichelleDisregard my previous review, we’ve had it 6 months and the temperature setting has failed. Also one oven rack for actual cooking is just annoying. Wouldn't recommend. The hassle of now having to get it fixed and not having an oven to use in the meantime is just not worth it.
Difficult to useUtageWe have been using the oven for a month. There are several reasons why we are not happy with it. Firstly, the display for the functions is not backlit. It is difficult to see in dim lighting. I thought it was lit in the IKEA product photos.
Secondly, the display is minimal, so the meaning of the buttons is difficult to understand. Therefore, we have put stickers on it to provide more information. Thirdly, we cannot turn off the child lock on the display. We have read the instruction manual, but it doesn't mention how to do this. We have called IKEA's technical support, but it is difficult to get through. You always have to wait a long time. We have just figured out how to turn it off by chance. Fourthly, we hardly ever cook with the oven unless we have a recipe book, as we are beginners with the steam function. This is just our opinion; other customers might love it.
Best OVEN for Everything!MichelleIt’s great because it’s a Pyrolytic oven so always clean! Child lock which isn’t easy to get these days for this price. Steam for baking the best breads. Super fast heat up… 220 degrees in 10 mins. It did cost $300 to install with microwave and it’s not easy to figure out. I stuck the instructions inside the pantry until I figured it out. Now it’s super easy. Would recommend to everyone. The choice tested ikea ovens were recommended too.
Great ovenMerrickTakes a little longer to heat up but is energy efficient and performance is a+ - simple to use with heaps of functions. No complaints
Magebo OvenJamesThe timer on the oven packed up after two weeks. Replacement timer or oven not available went for as different oven which works a treat.
IKEA after sales service works well once you get through on the phone.
