Only has 3 legs, not deep enough to fit my shoesBenjaminThis shoe cabinet only has 3 legs. It is not freestanding. It can only be used if you bolt it to the wall. It does not fit my shoes (men's size 11), even with the adjusted shelf angle. I wish I had not purchased it.1
Warning: This cabinet is not free-standing and poses a safety risk if not wall-mounted!YingboWe bought this shoe cabinet assuming it could stand on its own, but during assembly we discovered that it only has legs on one side. The other side has no support and must be fixed directly to a wall in order to stay upright.
Nowhere in the product listing or instructions does it clearly say that this cabinet cannot stand without being secured to the wall. This is a serious safety issue, especially for people with plasterboard (drywall) walls like ours, where mounting heavy furniture is difficult or unreliable.
This design should be clearly disclosed upfront. It’s misleading and potentially dangerous. Not recommended unless you have solid walls and are prepared to permanently fix it in place.1
Good experienceIreneNice, good looking and easy to use.5
One of the most disappointing IKEA purchases I’ve made.QiA plastic screw broke during assembly.
One screw was missing entirely.
Only one side has support legs, the other must be mounted to the wall (not clearly stated).
And here’s the worst part: the design doesn't allow wall-mounting if your wall has skirting boards (which most homes do!). After an hour of installation, I found out the cabinet couldn’t even touch the wall—so the entire unit is unstable and unsafe.
IKEA usually does better than this. This cabinet is poorly designed, cheaply made, and a waste of time and energy. Avoid unless you enjoy frustration and DIY disasters.1
OkayPatriciaRelatively easy to assemble, but the middle rod does not fit if you intend to have the shelves straight rather than at an angle. The rubber runners for the sliding doors do not go in easily, suggest pinching in the bottom ones and pushing them down to get them in and the top ones you need to work from the ends and alternate sides to squeeze in.2
Works wellMadhukaGood product. Shelve are prone to fall off when put in at an angle4
Like the sliding doorAnonymous reviewerWatch the installation tutorial on Youtube then easy assembly. Like the sliding door, quiet. Size good for small place or as second shoe cabinet.4
Worst assembly experienceCindyI've built several flat packs before and this took the cake for being the most annoying and dysfunctional. Firstly, it doesn't come with the screws required for wall mount. The bottoms of the legs are domed plastic, so have fun trying to keep the cabinet upright against the wall during mounting if you have smooth wooden flooring. The shelf holsters are flimsy and would not stay in place when put in the slanted position. In fact, one of the shelves fell while trying to install the door and the cabinet base ended falling out from the bottom, splintering the wood. There needs to be a better way to insert the cheap plastic nails other than requiring thumbs of steel to push them in. Saddest $149 and most traumatising 3 hours I ever spent on furniture.1
Good but not suitable for ppl with big feetJuliaNice, compact cabinet. Only issue my partner has big feet, mens US12 and things like his work boots dont fit unless you put sideways which wastes alot of space. I'm a women US 8 and my shoes fit perfect on the angled shelf. 4
Sturdy cabinetJaѕveerEasy to assemble if you follow the instructions. Nice and sturdy cabinet. Can use anywhere in the house.4

Shoe storerJeanceriIt work great but I didn’t put the legs on it cause I put it in my wardrobe.4
I didn’t not like itDeborahI didn’t not like it having to be attached to a wall. I would of preferred front and back legs. Instead I had to leave feet off.3

Will need additional screws to secure to wallRachelGood for a narrow space and because it has legs, it can sit flush against the wall above wall skirting. Only problem is it peels away from the wall, even if it isn’t heavily loaded. So you will need to probably add 2 additional wall fixings on the lower wall of the cabinet in addition to the top two.3
pretty ok for the priceGilliandoes it's job, as mentioned in reviews, you need to slant your shoes to fit larger sizes, i.e. anything more than size 7 i would say! but we slanted middle shelf, and used some for slippers only. you can adjust. we also put non slip mat inside so the backboard doesn't bear the full weight of all the shoes. hopefully it will last longer before warping! only time will tell4
