I bought LENNART hoping to bring peace and organization to my wardrobe. Alas, this was not to be. From the moment I saw how flimst and weird the plastic clasps looked; I was doubtful it would do the job. But I held fast and continued onto the next step.
What was the next step? Surely it would be to wrestle the wobbly frame of the drawers into place with some solid metal screws? No, you underestimate LENNART. LENNART does not choose to be held in place by raw metal, it chooses flimsy plastic snaps as its weapon of war. Indeed, I was pelted about a million times with flying plastic trying to hold the drawers together. Too much movement and boom - the drawer detonates with the force of a thousand tiny pellets.
I struggled and struggled till my fingers were red and sore . My faith in IKEA furniture is forever shaken just like my LENNART drawers. Maybe tomorrow I'll go out and buy some proper screws and conquer these white elephants or make this time-sapping trip to return them...so sad. I grew up in love with IKEA...from their furniture to their foods. Is this the end of an era?
Didn't they try to assemble this themselves before putting it out in the market for millions to struggle with it ??
