Poor qualitySharonThis is the second Lapptag I have purchased. I was really happy with the first, so decided to buy a second. What a disappointment, both with the product and IKEA. The width of the recent purchase is 130 cm (as promoted) on one end but is 140 cm on the other. Makes it difficult to place an oddly shaped throw neatly on the bed, which is why I purchased it. IKEA tells me this is not a quality issue because it is still 'fit for purpose'. I wonder if this reasoning applies if the width was 50 cm out! Their only solutions offered were to return at my cost, which I am not going to do as I live 200 km away from the nearest IKEA store. Do not buy this product unless you get to see it instore and measure it.
Warm but not soft.JohnI purchased this as a lounge blanket thinking it would be warm and comfortable watching TV. However, while it’s definitely warm, it’s not soft.
It’s thick and of good quality but is more useful as an extra over blanket on top of your doona at night.
In this application, I found it quite effective.
My cats new favourite, mine too!CherylThere were plenty of mixed reviews of this, but it's a complete win for us. There's a definite sheepy smell if you get right in and smell it, not noticeable otherwise, and very standard for any undyed wool products, like quilts, pillows, batting and yarn.
The cotton side is a lovely texture, like a perfect rough/soft/scratchy towel when you've worn it in, and is quite thick and a nice pattern. The wool side looks like loose spun yarn, is a nice upholstery level soft and together they make a pleasantly warm but lightweight blanket. It lets a little light through - my cats all love sitting on or under it and it now lives on my bed. I will buy another one for the couch next time I'm in store.
Luxurious throw. CatherineSuch a quality throw at a very reasonable price. Love that is wool one side and cotton the other. Perfect for different seasons and it is a hit with the dog as well. It is his new favourite place to sleep.
