Not idealStephanieBought this to try and see if it would make any difference to the oil splatter that gets onto my splash back and the rubbish bin lid next to the hot plate.
An issue with this lid is that it is rather big and for some pans it cannot sit well on top of them as it hits the back of the splashback. It does seem to keep the splatter at bay but as is to be expected the splatter can still get you whenever you lift the lid to stir your ingredients.
Cleaning it is also a bit difficult due to its size and that it is basically made of a mesh that is full of oil. Difficult to rinse the suds off under the tap as they foam up in the mesh.3
