Great Value and QualityRoseI’ve had a few sofas over the years, but this IKEA one is hands down the best. I love how transparent their construction is, that I can see the framework and under the covers! The quality, build, and price are all great.
Assembly can be a bit tricky for one person, but it’s worth it. Being able to remove and wash all the covers makes cleaning easy.
The sofa styles stay consistent, so I can easily swap out the covers for a new look.
Initially the lounge feels firm, but I like the support and the shorter seating depth is also good, avoiding the discomfort of sofas that are too deep.

Things I wish I knew about the KIVIK sofaOlympia LibbyThe KIVIK is quite difficult to put together without assistance and even though I have assembled many IKEA pieces in the past, I still found it very challenging. It seemed to be a cost effective alternative but in the end, you get what you pay for. We bought it for a low use kids area but is not a comfortable sofa for long term every day use by a family of adults.2

Sofa cover changed colourQiujieThe sofa cover changed colour not long after purchase. The colour changed to orange/nude. It is very obvious and ugly. The sofa is placed in a normal living room in a normal condition. Never had such a problem before.1

For some reason, the uprightAndyFor some reason, the upright cushion on the chaise is made of a different foam to the back cushions on the sofa section. It's a lot softer so doesn't support your back as much and then also gets squashed when sitting on it so then doesn't match3
