Perfect ValueGlennAfter watching a YouTube video on the Matter products now available at IKEA, I had to give them a try! After 15 Grilplats and 2 Kajplats, these devices have proven excellent value, quality and functionality that’s on par with some of the more expensive brands!
Works fine after the firmware update.Wai KongI connected it to the Dirigera hub. The process was simple and I successfully added the bulb to the system. Everything worked just fine right after the connection and I think it responds to commands quicker than the old Tradfri.
After about 30 mintues, I noticed the Ikea Home Smrat app indicated the bulb was being updated but went offline before it finished. I checked the app again about an hour later it came back online but went offline again after a while. Very stable...
The next day, I had the thread network reset using the app. I also reset the bulb and added it to the Dirigera again. In the end, it successfully updated the firmware 1.1.0 --> 1.2.0 and it hasn't been disconnected for a week.
I'd glad that Ikea is sorting out the connectivity issues with their matter-over-thread devices. I really wish they could update the latest firmware for all their current stocks so the consumers would not have to go through the trouble themselves.
