Best Ever ContainersLorraineThese are now my favorite containers. Over Christmas I was using them constantly for leftovers and storing food. I even use them for serving food when we have a BBQ. I am going to buy more and get rid of the old glass ones.
The best storage containersRobynAll of my food storage containers are glass containers from Ikea. They are absolutely fantastic. These larger containers are great for salads as you can serve and store in the same container. They wash well in the dishwasher. Lids are sold separately and fit both the large container and the medium container which is very handy.

It is not sustainable of you Ikea to force a new lid on people. Of course the glass pqrt of the container tends to be less durable than the plastic part. Shame that you dont promote reuse of the plastic lids with your practice.

Finally storage containers that are practical.IrenI have bought the glass and the plastic containers and love the fact that I only have 2 sizes of lids for 4 different shapes. They are easy to use and stack in the fridge or cupboard. Really keeps the veg. in particular fresh for longer that I have been used to.

A tougher type of glass
Borosilicate glass can handle conditions that are a bit too tough for ordinary household glass. It’s very impact and scratch resistant and withstands rapid temperature changes, allowing you to take it directly from the freezer to the oven – or vice versa. And if it somehow breaks, it shatters into large pieces with less risk of someone getting hurt. Simply a tougher type of glass.
