    Best Ever ContainersLorraineThese are now my favorite containers. Over Christmas I was using them constantly for leftovers and storing food. I even use them for serving food when we have a BBQ. I am going to buy more and get rid of the old glass ones. 5
    The best storage containersRobynAll of my food storage containers are glass containers from Ikea. They are absolutely fantastic. These larger containers are great for salads as you can serve and store in the same container. They wash well in the dishwasher. Lids are sold separately and fit both the large container and the medium container which is very handy.5

    Material

    What is glass?

    Glass is mainly made of sand, soda and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
