Desk ElectricPeterWas easy to put together and works like a Dream, solid Desk 75kg weight limit is more than enough optional side for switch up/down, only the mess bag that holds all electric items on underside needs screws as one of the pins just slide out, easy fix.5
Perfect for craft roomTrishUsing this in room for craft, sewing etc. Perfect to raise for pattern cutting then lower for sewing on sewing machine. Good price for this type of product.5
Dual motor table at its bestNickiFully features, solid build, with dual motor, the sensor for crushing into anything.5
I purchased this desk asSueI purchased this desk as I needed a large desk that I could easily adjust to accommodate a large computer screen and all of the paraphernalia associated with long hours of working from home and it’s definitely met my expectations. It was surprisingly easy to assemble, is extremely easy to adjust and is very sturdy even when extended to its highest position. The only slight downside was the price but it’s turning out to be a good investment.5
So sturdy and aesthetically pleasing!!RachelSo sturdy and aesthetically pleasing!!5
I won"t stand for this!EdwardIt's the most beautiful looking standing desk I've ever seen, which isn't saying a lot as they're normally incredibly ugly, and this one manages to float over that bar and arrive soundly at looking "fine I guess". Solidly designed, feels sturdy until you extend it fully, where it still feels pretty good, but not life changing. I'd recommend it.5
The product is firm andsamuelThe product is firm and sturdy, but it's noisy when you are operating it for up or down. It's too noisy for me. The manufacturer should make the moto quieter.3
Great deskGregLooks good and meets my needs5

Great table but error in instructionsJPPP27This desk is great, very sturdy and the motor is fairly quiet. While it's not cheap, it does feel like it's worth the extra cost over the Bekant. There's a problem with the instructions - the Australian page clearly shows the transformer sitting outside the desk, but the cable from the motor to the transformer is only about 300mm, so it would leave the transformer dangling in mid air, and the cable is not nearly strong enough to support this. However it's very easy to leave the transformer sitting in the table housing and this solves the problem.5
Excellent and versatile desk!coreyingI work full time at home so I purchased this desk a few weeks ago when 1 came into stock. Despite this desk being very solid and electric and having some heavy parts, it was very easy to put together. The ability for this desk to be tall enough for me to stand and work at (I'm 5'10 and it's nowhere near as high as it can go) yet low enough that my 3 year old twins can sit at and draw etc is amazing. The Smartphone app which lets you configure 3 present heights is a great bonus as there is no guessing when going from seated to standing positions as to what your specific ergonomic heights are. After 2 weeks we can't judge long-term reliability. But given Ikea are confident enough to put a 10 year warranty on this, I don't think you can go wrong! I'll be buying another 2 of these once more come into stock!5
Sturdy Desk, the app lets it down thoughTheVoiceDudeI really want to love this desk, as I'm over 6' tall I needed a desk that allows me to stand on occasion. Building it was easy (even at 2am!). PROS: - Fits upto a 160cmx70cm table top. - STURDY. This table is a beast (see CONS) - The lift action is small and not very loud (a little louder than normal talking) CONS: - Make sure you have someone help you, both at pickup and build. This is a heavy product. - Expensive for an Ikea item, I found a fully build lift table for only $50 more. - Instructions tell you to leave the transformer in the central support tunnel, I wasn't Ok with that incase it over heated - but there really isn't any other place to place it. - The app give you the option of saving three favourite height levels EXCEPT, you cannot select them to send the desk to that height, they are only there to remind you that you like that particular desk height.3

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

What is constructed board?

We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light and resource-efficient, yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fibreboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
