Perfect!AllisonI have used these blinds in 2 of my bedrooms and they're great. Relatively easy to install. But make sure you measure twice, cut once! I almost screwed it up.. even though the instructions are very clear.
Difficult to install and flimsyJelenaMetal rods are very difficult to cut to size despite how straight-forward it looks. The guide you have to adhere down to a bench is too flimsy to properly hold the rods while you saw them. Metal cutting tool isn’t included. No extra rods are included in case of mistakes. Rods are next to impossible to saw if needing to trim tiny amounts. Rods are flimsy and bendy, and blind does not travel down/up the rods smoothly. Not completely customisable, there are still notches you must follow, about 2-3cm apart. The plastic brackets that you fix the rods into are difficult to account for when measuring your rod lengths. Awful product, doesn’t work at all, worst Ikea product I purchased. I returned the unused one of the 2 I purchased. Regret spending $40 on the used one and about 2 hours of my time and physical exertion for something I binned after giving up. Good idea, bad execution.
Worst ikea product CarlyYou cannot cut it to fit exact dimensions you want. I was left with a 150mm gap each side. It is very difficult to cut to size and instructions are not clear. When sticking it to the window it stuck too quickly so now I’m left with a wonky, narrow blind. I went in to buy the $10 version but it was out of stock. Was not worth the upgrade. I hate what I’m stuck with now. 0/10 do not recommend
Versatile viewingDianaBeing able to adjust looking outside or getting protection from the sun by adjusting the blind from either the top or the bottom is a brilliant idea. I haven’t fixed it in position yet, and am not sure how I feel about sticking it to the window. Having internal fly screens also means the blind can’t be fixed to the opener without some fudging! More explicit instructions would be helpful
A useful light blockerSimonIt's an easy blind to hang, and only minimal handiwork to cut to size.
The only disappointment is that it really doesn't keep our the afternoon heat created by being in full sun. It blocks the light really well, just not the heat.
