The box states spring loadedSuziThe box states spring loaded but this is a twist and expand. It does not stay up between the 2 walls. Fairly lightweight. Might be ok for a shower curtain but a towel would definitely be too heavy.
with a lot of moistureSuewith a lot of moisture in the bathroom the rod slides off the wall as our bathroom is tiled floor to ceiling. we will be buying rubber washers to see if that will hold the rod in place. a bit disappointing as anything else we have bought is great.
