Easy enough to assemble but the quality is not very good considering the price I paid.
The only part that is made out of good quality timber is the desk top, the rest is cheap chipboard, fibreboard & timber with a very thin coating of paint.
This unit is just over a year old & 1 leg has cracked where the joining pins go & where the knot holes or defects have been filled with putty, or something, the substance has yellowed & shows through the very thin white paint.
The unit now looks like it’s grubby & old.
I would not recommend this cheaply made item.
So far so good...VishalI was contemplating to get this desk, however I am pretty happy with the quality. Instructions are fairly detailed , there are lot of parts.. Only gripe I have is the hole for cable management , if it could be more in centre. No regrets with this purchase and looks good in my office.
Not good for the priceSorenI usually love the hemnes line as they are solid pine and generally very sturdy. I think this design needs to be pulled from shelves and redesigned before sale. The instructions for assembly were some of the worst I have ever had from IKEA and I have put together a LOT of IKEA. I also received one panel in this kit that had none of the holes pre drilled and had to drill them out myself. The cable hole cover also arrived broken. The desk itself is nice but for the trouble I would not buy this again for the price.
