Was worried I might hit the side or my feet might touch the end but there’s plenty of room for someone my height (165cm) and taller. Test it in store first!5

Frustrated MelwinI recently purchased this daybed frame along with the mattress. While the product itself looks good once assembled, the installation process was quite frustrating.
The main issue was with the screws. There were no extra screws provided at all not even one. During assembly, this becomes a real concern. If a screw head gets damaged, misplaced, or stripped (which can easily happen), you’re stuck.
What made it worse is that there’s no information provided on where to buy replacement screws. I even tried purchasing similar screws from Bunnings, but they didn’t fit or work. For a product at this price point, this is disappointing.
I believe IKEA can easily afford to include at least one or two spare screws or clearly specify where replacements can be purchased. This small change would make a big difference to the customer experience.
Overall, good product, but the lack of spare hardware and guidance really lets it down.3

Changing my mind at the last minute as I was concerned about the quality and sturdiness and what it would be like to sleep on and how difficult to extend, the list of worries was endless but I’m rather pleased to report that my Hemnes Day Bed has exceeded and surpassed all of my expectations. It looks top notch, easy to turn to double bed or back to single, solid as a rock and just as comfy to sleep on no creaking Nothing. Highly recommended. If you thinking about one just purchase you will not regret it5
