Design flaw?BertrandI bought this bed frame because it's the only single bed sold in IKEA Australia that comes with a decent height for me to climb in and out of bed. Unfortunately, due to the design of this frame, I find myself being woken up in the middle of most nights with the bottom of my feet pressed hard against the protruding part of the bed-end. I'm currently looking for an extra mattress to place on top (or below) my current mattress so that my feet could extend beyond the bed-end when I sleep. I am 177cm tall. Another issue I have with this bed is the screw system used to hold the parallel beams to the side planks. The existing holes in the planks are too small to receive the screws, and I have to widen the holes with a drill in order to make it work. However, the planks are soft and thin, and I inevitably drill through them, resulting in unsightly holes which I then need to patch up and repaint. All in all, it's not worth paying for this badly designed bed frame.2

Princess' bedJessicaI bought this bed for my youngest child, she's a bit of a fashionista and a lover of interior design. Anyway, the bed was pretty easy to put together with the instructions. To note: it is white And therefore extremely easy to scuff/mark, so we were extra careful with moving pieces around.
The hardest part of the job was to assemble the two metal rods that hold the main part of the frame together (goes in before the slats and matress). Overall, the bed is sturdy and looks lovely in my little princesses room.4

Our king size is whiter than this single which looked discolored.
If it's in a standalone room, you won't notice the off color.1
