The bestMichelleWhen I told my daughter I needed a new induction frypan, she suggested IKEA. I had already had a really good pan with very fast he transferred and I doubted that I could replace it. One of her friends had recommended this pan and despite my misgivings, I bought it and I could not be happier. Surface is amazingly robust, the heat transfer is instant and really hot and it is so easy to clean.

And Ikea won't let me return it initially sighting product instruction that this pan may warp if it is heated up too quickly. What's the definition of heating a pan up too quickly, when I'm simply cooking? Do not buy!!!
Poorly designed handleLauraWhoever designed this frypan most likely never cooked a meal in their lives. The handle is such a shocker, picking up the frypan was enough to tell me that I don’t want to keep it.
Icky StickyLyndonThe complete opposite of non stick. It seems we aren't alone in this experience judging by the sheer amount of similar reviews. I'm of the opinion the non stick coating on these pans can't tolerate high heating loads and just breaks down. I'd also have to question what chemicals are being released into the food when this happens. Ikea, probably worth re-thinking these pans.

Beautifully well balanced and easy to clean. We are careful to only use silicon or wood utensils and we wash and dry them as soon as possible after use. Love cooking with them. Thoroughly recommend them.

What is sol-gel ceramic non-stick coating?
Sol-gel non-stick is often called ceramic coating and is an increasingly common replacement for other non-stick coatings in frying pans. It comprises mostly of silica and is created by applying a gel-like solution to the product and drying it in an oven. The result is a hard, glossy surface with non-stick properties. Sol-gel can be produced in different colours, it withstands high heat, is easy to use and clean – and allows cooking with little or no fat.
