Great kitchen staplesNicolaI use these every single day - they are so handy to have in the drawer and get used for anything and everything hot. Perfect to protect the benchtop!
Beauty at a fantastic priceTiffanyLoving this kitchen staple in my home. Given that it is cork (a natural material) it's hard wearing, gorgeous, practical and so affordable. I use them in both my caravan and house...no scorching bench tops here!
Heat standsJudyThese are quite good, but I would like to have them both bigger & thicker. I don't like that they mark easily & don't wipe clean.
Heat pot standsMichaelThe Heat pot stands are fantastic I use them for very hot pans coming out of my wood fired oven without any issues.
Priced very well and work as expected, highly recommend them to everyone.
perfectNathalieKeeps my table clear of marks
Too soft and impossible to cleanYizhouVery soft, feels like it's about to break. Impossible to clean the grease off
Must haveLeonaGreat addition, very functional and well-priced. They aren't overly large which is also nice because they aren't an eye sore. I had purchased a set 9 years ago and they still last. I bought more recently as I needed more. Great quality and highly functional.
Perfectly sized heat padsFionaThese cork heat pads are great. They are small but do the job perfectly. Don’t take up too much space in my limited kitchen storage. No more marks being left on the table.

Awful smellSuzieUpon opening they smelt mouldy, I think they'll be headed straight back on the next trip out to the store.
Partially suitableLyndaCork seems to brush off easily - unsure about its longer term durability.

poor qualityAmiraThe sides were crumbling upon opening the packet. Who wants cork crumbs all over the benchtop? Not good quality at all.

Material
What is cork?
Cork comes from cork oak bark which is carefully cut from the tree’s trunk. It then takes about nine years until the tree forms new bark that can be harvested. Since a cork oak can live to be aged 150-200, each one produces a lot of cork during its lifetime. Cork has several good qualities as a material: it’s lightweight, flexible, waterproof and naturally resists fire. We use it in furniture and accessories.
