The best cast iron panPratyushaI almost didn’t buy this pan because of the number of reviews mentioning rust and food sticking. I’m glad I did.
The key is to season the pan properly by following IKEA’s instructions before using it. Cast iron isn’t non-stick straight out of the box, but once seasoned correctly, it performs beautifully.
I made dosa today, and it cooked exactly as expected, crispy, evenly browned, and released from the pan without any sticking. The pan heats evenly, retains heat well, and gives excellent results.
Like all cast iron cookware, it does need a little care. If you wash, dry, and lightly oil it after use, rust shouldn’t be an issue.
If you’re willing to spend a little time seasoning and maintaining it, this is an excellent cast iron pan and great value for money. Don’t let the negative reviews put you off, my experience has been the complete opposite.

nice pan but hard to getUdayWE have been trying to get this for some time. but every time it was out of stock after going tot the store. we got it atlas at Rhodes Ikea. its an excellent pan and at a wonderful price.
