Frustrating assembly but worth sticking with it and taking the riskRobertWe are very happy with the finished product. We travelled a four hour round trip to get this buffet. When we were home and assembling it, it became obvious that the predrilled holes were in the wrong place. After trying every option and ringing the helpline, who were very helpful we decided to redrill the holes in the correct place, rather than another four hour round trip to return it. The rest of the cabinet then fitted together perfectly. One piece was found to have a deep scratch on it which was happily exchanged on a subsequent trip to Perth. The resulting cabinet is just what we wanted although factory faults needed fixing. Any low marks in the assessment reflect the factory faults not the finished product. It should be noted we are experienced ikea assemblers and have never before had a problem of this kind. 3

Very Nice but a nightmare to assemble.MarianAll Ikea products are a nightmare to assemble. The instructions are difficult to follow and have found to be incorrect. No spare screws etc if one goes missing and cannot purchase through stores like Bunnings. Frustrating. The option to have Ikea assemble adds to the cost and with delivery out of budget range for me. If you are a handyman its great but sadly a senior like me, very difficult. When completed it looks amazing.5

Design faulty,Impossible to assemble.TinaI dont recommendthis product. I've done a few flat packs in my time, but this buffet/side board was impossible to build. The design is flawed (parts dont fit together) and frame is cheap and flimsy and chips really easily. I had to return it as is was unusable.1

Scratches really easilyMichelleThe top scratches/marks too easily and shows white underneath. I have barely used this but am looking to get a piece of glass or a tabletop runner or even hard waxing it to protect it. The marks were from a pair of plastic sunglasses being put there. 🕶️3
Good quality but a few marks on panelsDonnaThe Hauga is a very good range, quite a bit of different pieces to choose from, I already have 3 of the tall kitchen hutches hence why I bought this piece to match what I had already. I have bought a lot of put together furniture from IKEA this was the first one that had several markings and or scuff marks on it. I live 3 hours away from my nearest IKEA so I wasn’t able to pop in and get it replaced.4
